55cm All-Road Frameset $1400

Hey everyone,
I still am hanging on to this one-off road frame. Check out the details below.

55CM All Weather Road Frameset
$1400 with your favorite color

An elegant lugged road frame designed for year around riding. It sports ultra-light oversized tubing, integrated fender mounts, braze-on front derailleur mount, and made for a threaded headset for ease of handle bar height adjustment.

Imagine that old Italian Frame you lusted over at the local bike shop. Well, this bike embraces that Euro feel while sporting ultra light oversized tubing, beautiful finish work, threaded steerer, modern shifting braze-ons for cable adjustment, and fender mounts all around (including integrated bridge mounts). Hence the name the Italian in Portland……it rains here. So if you are careful you can mount rattle-free full fenders with 25′s and still run short reach modern brakes.

The frame measures:
55cm Top Tube
56cm Seat Tube
81.3cm Standover Height

Give me a call at 503-750-0275 to discuss if this bike will be a good fit for you. Full build kits are available.

Clair’s Birthday Mixte

This is a very small Mixte frameset made for excellent handling with front loads, 26″ wheels and clearance for a dress or bathrobe. A mighty fine present if you ask me.

Gary’s Commuter

My good friend Gary has had a Milholland frameset hanging in my shop for almost two years. Today Ben, who if you do not know makes Trucker Racks, dropped off Gary’s bike immaculately built up like always.

Well its a beauty and even better Gary loves it. The frame has complete touring braze-ons, a tough wheel set with White Industry hubs, low gearing for grinding up passes when loaded, and Ahearne/MAP bars for a comfy and alert handlebar position. This bike also rocks a set of Paul V-brakes for trailer towing, and also because I wanted to blow Gary’s mind with stopping power since I have never seen him ride a bike with more than one working brake.

Better pictures soon, I promise.

“Start To Finish” at Radish Underground August 25th

Come share an evening with me at Radish Underground, it’s going to be a warm and beautiful ride with a reward beer at the end.

Come join me at the Portland Twilight Criterium

My favorite city race of the year is here again. The takes place in the North Park Blocks of Downtown Portland on Friday the 12th of August. I will have a booth on the grass (I will get there really early to poach a nice spot), eating snacks, and displaying some bikes. Come hang out with me! If you have a Milholland, bring it down so we can display its superiority to the “normals”.

If you have never been, this event is worth going to. The energy is amazing, lots of drama on the course, and heckling spectators.

Radish Underground Window Display or “Start To Finish”

I spent Monday setting up a window display in the beautiful and smart local clothing boutique . The display looks great and will be up all month in August.

Come on down and pop your head in. Buy a pretty little number from Radish Underground, pick up a Milholland T-Shirt and check out the display.

The start in the “Start to Finish”

Ultra glare and tired after a long day of set up.

T-Shirts!

Bi Laminate one-off 29er and an ultra-commuter too!

Im up to my ears in Bi-Laminate style bikes this week. “Bi-Laminate” construction in the framebuilder world means making a “faux” lug from tubing, brazing it on the tube, mitering the tube with the faux lug on the end of the tube, and finally fillet brazing the tube/lug to the other tube that needs to be joined together (in this case the head tube). Make sense? I know.
But hey, it gives the bike a very unique look. Come on, who do you know with a lugged 29er? Well I do, but thats not the point.

I’m famous in……..TEXAS!

A tried and true Randonee headed to Texas for the really sunny season!
The ultra-stable steering, light weight, and supple tires make for a connected feel on the road. Ditch those giant chamois in your shorts. With it’s comfortable ride, back-saving handlebar height, and Athena 11 speed group, this bike is going to be the favorite of your lot.

I had fun breaking in the tires on a long test ride.

Cheers!

Butch’s frame sneak peak

I snuck to the back of the shop to visit COAT Paint Shop and check in on Butch’s frame.
Purple metallic fade with hand painted gold lug lining. I forgot to get pictures of the painted fenders but they also are a purple fade scheme.
