From what you've described it sounds like you have managed to create exactly what I have been trying to accomplish with my bike. I have an older voodoo wazoo that I used to race, but have been slowing down on a day to day basis. Adding fenders and the tourist bars from Velo Orange have helped. The new tires that might be twice as wide, if not more, than the skinny little tings that I used to love. Since I have had my frame for nearly a decade, I can't put racks on it, AND it has two nickel sized dents on the top tube (Car door, meet frame) I have been looking for a frame that will complete what I have been trying to do.
